Toddler and Preschool Storytime
Thursday mornings at 9am, young children and their parents are welcome to join us for Storytime. This is a program particularly designed for toddlers and preschoolers, who are invited to share new and exciting experiences through stories, songs, puppets and action rhymes. Our Storytime is held in the early morning, before the library opens to the general public, and is a warm, cozy and fun introduction to the pleasures of reading for our youngest patrons.

During the summer, the library offers a popular reading program, "Larky's Summer Reading Club." All children are invited to participate, including young children who enjoy being read to, as well as older, independent readers. Sign-ups generally begin in early June, and the program runs the entire summer until mid-August. During the summer, we also offer a variety of special children's events, such as magic shows, puppet shows, and other children's performers. (In the photo at right, Larky hands out balloons during the kick-off magic show for the summer reading program.)
