Finance is responsible for administering the financial affairs of the City including:
  • accounting for the collection and disbursement of all monies
  • investment of idle funds
  • budgetary management
Typical day-to-day functions include:
  • maintenance of the City's general ledgers
  • preparation of periodic budget reports on revenue and expenditures
  • processing the payroll
  • processing bills for payment
  • collection of various City revenues, including business license taxes
  • procurement of supplies and services at the lowest cost
  • preparation of reports to other government agencies
