FINANCE
Finance is responsible for administering the financial affairs of the City including:
- accounting for the collection and disbursement of all monies
- investment of idle funds
- budgetary management
Typical day-to-day functions include:
- maintenance of the City's general ledgers
- preparation of periodic budget reports on revenue and expenditures
- processing the payroll
- processing bills for payment
- collection of various City revenues, including business license taxes
- procurement of supplies and services at the lowest cost
- preparation of reports to other government agencies
